The Weber Ranch Kettle

We out grew our grilling needs a few years ago. We tried to compensate by adding more weber 22 ½ in grills. At three grills it became a transport and convenience issue. Not to mention the time needed maintaining three fires. Even the addition of a weber smokey mountain smoker couldn't do what we needed.

In comes the weber ranch kettle to the rescue. This grill is a beast and the biggest grill weber makes.

Extreme Tailgate found their weber ranch in the off season on Craigs List for $400. They retail for $1299 plus tax.

Now we can fire up this grill with two chimneys and add some unlit charcoal and we are cooking for a couple of hours. Usually two or three people can share grill space depending on configuration of hot zones.

Typically a half grill hot zone will accommodate 7 butterfly chickens indirectly, or 10 pounds of wings indirectly.

The grill has been fired up 8 times this season and preseason and it is a keeper for large crowds up to 125.

The best tailgate game day. Win or lose, you will have fun.
