TAILGATE NOTICE

Tailgate Notice - This is a very short turnaround week coming off of Sunday to Thursday Night Football. There will be a smaller menu variety and less equipment due to turnaround time and the logistics of tearing down, cleaning, storing, and getting it back out.

Our regular parking spots will be reserved from daytime workers so prepays will have their parking spot.

The tailgate bar and TV will not be at this game along with tailgate tents. Plan on watching the game at your local pub, home or in the bowl. Feel free to bring your own TV and power if you want to watch the game at the tailgate. I will be leaving at 8:30 to watch the game closer to home.

We maintain our commitment to great food. The menu is lots of dry rubbed wings and a huge pot of jambalaya with sausage and shrimp. If you remember last year, our jambalaya is world famous among ourselves. It's seriously good.

I'm set up at 3pm and we serve at 5pm. Game starts at 8:30pm.

Special Notice About Thursday Night Football

Thursday, October 30th, will be a modified tailgate event. Carolina will host New Orleans for a nationally televised game on Thursday Night Football on CBS and the NFL Network.

We share parking with a Charlotte downtown work force of 50,000 plus. On the weekends this presents no problems. On weekdays it becomes a logistics problem.

Therefore, we are at the mercy of the daytime workers to timely move out at 5 o'clock, and allow Extreme Tailgate to move in, set up, and get the show on the road. We all have real daytime jobs so we can't squat a day holding our places and take our usual leisurely time.

The reality is we do not have enough time or space to perform our regular duties with our regular equipment.

We will be one RV short and the mobile bar will not be at this event. If the weather is fair, the tents will stay home too. No televised game will be shown at this event. Please plan accordingly if you do not plan to attend the game, but want to watch the game.

The menu will not be spared as we will have jambalaya and wings along with sides. It will all be cooked fresh.

Here's How It's Going Down

Here's how it's going down! We have third pound sirloin burgers grilled to perfection with your choice of swiss, colby jack, or blu cheese. We then burn it on and melt it with a blow torch. That's extreme.

Then we offer fresh red onions, or sautéed onions, mushrooms, slaw, tomato, lettuce, bacon, chili, topped with a fried egg if you like.

Mustard, mayonnaise and ketchup of course.

If you can open your jaw wide enough then you'll have an Extreme Tailgate burger.

Prefer a brat? Jim steams them in beer, slow grills them to nirvana, and offers mustard, kraut, onions and a fresh roll.

A ten dollar donation is appreciated.

It's Tailgate Time Again

Extreme tailgating takes a lot of work and planning. Who's coming, how many, who are we playing, what are we cooking, what is the weather, what network will the game be on?

This week something is going on very different. We are keeping the menu traditional...simple, burgers and brats...but we are throwing an extreme twist to it. Each person has an assignment, do your best to make it the best, and we all converge on Sunday morning.

We have two meat men for brats and burgers. Good quality meat, not the usual greasy flame feeding meat most tailgaters use. And the brats will be steamed in beer by our brat fanatic.

The rolls come in separate, the wings by another, the fries and corn are cooked and provided by another.

The sides for the burgers will be applied in an Extreme fashion. Pick your cheese, and a blow torch will melt it for you.

Do you want fresh or sautéed onions? Chili? Bacon with that? Lettuce, tomato mayo, mustard or ketchup? How about american, Swiss, or blu cheese?

The weather stands to be perfect, clear, sunny and in the 60s.
