Sunday Protocol and Expectations
Hello tailgate fans and especially, Extreme Tailgaters.
As an Extreme Tailgater, you know we attempt to push the envelope weekly with great food, fun, and equipment to provide this fun. There is a lot of time volunteered in preparation, setup, tear down, and cleaning, so we can do it all again next home game. This is not a paid catered event.
In the past it was the expectation of guests and regulars to pitch in wherever possible with a side dish or donation to cover food that was consumed.
In the past few weeks, we've seen our numbers swell, and donations remain static, while food contributions have all but ceased. This has caused us to run a significant deficit, which means our old system is causing us to loose money.
Our best guess is we have so many new friends of friends attending, that they don't realize that this is not a catered event, just a small group of guys (6) that enjoy cooking, entertaining, football, and meeting new people.
Going forward, we ask you to be mindful of these costs in light of the swelling crowds. If you invite a friend, make them aware that they should donate to the cause. $10 should cover any individual except for a competitive eater. If you just show up, welcome, and donate please.
We will be making people aware of this policy to cover our food costs.
Again, $10 goes a long way for us, and compared to $25 parking, $14 beers at the game, it all sounds quite reasonable.
See you at da Bears @ Carolina in a week.

This Homemade Rotisserie Could Work
Now I need to find someone to build it. Some carefully measured and welded rolled steel ought to do. Then add the motor. We are loving the Weber Ranch Kettle at Extreme Tailgate.

It Was A Great Tailgate
The game was horrible, but the tailgate made it all okay.

Yes We Go Beyond The Norm
Not all tailgaters polish their stainless steel chafing dishes after cleaning them. But we are extreme tailgaters.

Here's What's for Supper
Game day vs Steelers:
King Kwon's famous Chicken Parmesan. Dry Rubbed Hickory Smoked Wings, naked and sauced. Chili with Fritos scoops, and fresh corn chips. All the trimmings for chili, plus, if you feel froggy, you can make nachos and we'll heat it on the grill to melt the cheese. And finally marinated beef kabobs. Mamma Tree eggs and Swicegood meatballs.
Starting at 3 PM Sunday September 21. Game time is 8:30 PM.

Newest Chapter of Extreme Tailgate Society
There is the mother ship of Extreme Tailgate Society. It is made up of members that have grown systemically over the last 14 years. We faithfully attend every Carolina Panther home game and try and make each year more extreme.
As we began reaching critical mass last year, it became apparent that we were heading for our first chapter.
Welcome to the Society, the Charlotte 49er Mobile Mine Shaft.
She is a beauty.
We were asked last year if this chapter could be formed while this wonderful tailgate unit was being conceived.
We knew that this group of tailgaters were extreme - check.
We knew that this group was dedicated - check.
We knew that this group was willing to spend some money on unique bling - check.
And now the new chapter is born.
Come see the unit Sunday at the Panthers vs Lions game and welcome them to the fold.

We Have Fun At Home
Or at the tailgate. The nice setting isn't necessary, but that's what makes it extreme.

Dedicated Freezer Just in Time
We like equipment that helps us. We are not big on tailgate gadgets that casual tailgaters seem to be drawn to. Recently I saw a cooler with a blender on top, with a built in radio. What the hell would we do with that?
This is our new Extreme Tailgate Society Freezer.
Up until now, we have been stashing food in three spaces and catching grief for it.
Now we can stock up on meat deals and service larger crowds. No, there's no blender on top.

Extreme Tailgaters Go To Extreme Measures
Store bought sausage isn't good enough. Why not make it to perfection yourself? It is so lean and spiced just right.
This will be so good on the grill pregame or maybe I'll smoke some too.
