Good Old Sparky

We have had the Weber Ranch three years. I bought the Wber used. New they retail at $1300. This one was $400 on Craigs List in Columbia, SC.

I was courious as the the manufacture date. If you flip over the Weber you'll find a stamp that corresponds to a manufactur year. EE is 1999. 16 years old.

The original casters were way under engineered. After three sets I decided to try something more substantial.

Great Opportunity

IMMEDIATE OPENING - Great opportunity to learn the finer art of tailgating. Extreme Tailgate Society has created a new position of buffet food distribution coordinator/manager. Feel free to modify your title to satisfy any personal needs.

Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down the buffet tables and table cloths, chafing dishes including water, plus refills, and propane for the burners plus refills, overhead tent when needed, and the setting up and emptying the 55 gallon garbage can. All items need to be cleaned after each use, kept in working order, and stored between games at your location. You will be responsible for transporting items to and from the tailgate, or make arrangements to have the items transported.

You are expected to be set up 5 hours before kickoff, longer for afternoon and night games.

All food items are provided by the food and bar coordinator.

This requires a one season commitment starting in the 2016-17 season.

FAQ - I would but I don't have room for storing all that stuff. ANSWER- Not a problem. For $100 a month you can get an external storage unit. The current Buffet Manager doesn't have room either and renting a unit solved this problem imeaditely.

KICKER - We will kick in a one season supply of stainless steel polish. This is the good stuff too. Takes all the water marks off he chaffing dishes. Necessary about every other game.

Panthers vs Redskins Menu

Okay sports fans......this Sunday's tailgate vs Washington, marinated grilled flank steaks, cut thin on the diagonal, and slow cooked pecan smoked pulled pork, both served on a slider bun. And....the best, ever, homemade Brunswick stew. Plus pinto beans cooked in ham, red skin potatoes, and grilled dry rubbed wings. Comfort food for a cold football day.

Banner Policy

After the snafu of the last home game, we felt it necessary to develop a banner policy for Extreme Tailgate Society.

May the opposing team fans display their banners at our tailgate? No.

Can the home team display banners at our tailgate? Yes. We encourage all types and sizes, balloons, Zeppelins, drones, skydiving, whatever it takes.

Can Cam Newton tear down any banner? Yes.

In addition, we allow excessive celebrations for the home team only. All others will be forced to leave.
